First Steps to Starting Your Own Business

1. List your reasons for wanting to go into business.
2. Next determine what type of business you would like to start (try to answer these questions);
        - What do I like to do with my time?
        - What technical skills have I learned?
        - What do others say I am good at?
        - How much time do I have to run a business?
        - Do I have hobbies that are marketable?
3. Research is the best next steps. Google works wonders in this area. Answer the following;
        - Is my idea practical and will it fill a need?
        - What is my competition?
        - What is my advantage over existing firms?
        - Can I create a demand?
4. Then the fun begins, picking a name, designing a logo and website. I highly recommend every woman has a website for their business.

How to Build a Website Business

The internet is a perfect way to start a business. Here are some things to consider when you are starting out.
1. Is this product or service a good one to sell on the web? A good product cannot be found at the local Walmart.
2. Hire someone to build the site.
3. Buy a domain name.
4. Register your business name.
5. Find a host or go with the host your designer recommends.
6. Payment of goods and services can be handled by Paypal or with a merchant account through your bank.
7. Write a privacy policy and explain your policies up front.
8. Rehearse an order from start to finish. Rehearse a return.
